Our History
In 1963, Vee Jay Floor Covering Inc began as a family-run business established by Vincent Scopelliti Sr. We were in a 1,500 sq. ft. building on Route 44 in Johnston, RI. While Vincent Sr is still active in the business, Joyce Scopelliti, Vincent Scopelliti Jr., and Paul Scopelliti now handle the day-to-day operations.
In 2000, we moved the business to a more prominent location with a showroom of 5,500 sq. ft., which is one of the largest around. We also have over 4,500 sq. ft. of warehouse and office space, where we stock inventory to meet our customer's needs faster.
We currently have over 80 rolls of sheet vinyl on display and over 150 carpet remnants in stock at all times. Our projects range from a single room in a house to supermarkets and high-end offices. Most of our installation professionals have between 20 and 30 years of experience.
